No, just much prefer the natural ones to the store bought, think most of the store bought ones look horrible. Guess it's kind of like I loved Pamela Anderson when she was first in Playboy, with everything so perfect and natural. Then she paid the doctors to change everything and turned me off completely. Now I know I am in the minority but I'll take the nice naturals over the giant silicone anyday.
The problem with U of H is that they would never play LSU in a home and home series. Houston now insists that that they play most, if not all, their home games at their stadium on campus. The problem with that is it only holds 30,000 - 40,000 people. LSU fans would easily outnumber Houston fans at a football game. We outnumbered Houston fans at all the baseball and basketball games we have played in Houston. That is the reason Rice will not play us in Rice Stadium. :geaux: ldskule:
But I had heard that OU was going to do a 2 for 1 series with Houston and if they do I'm sure they'll have to play that at Reliant. Don't know if that is 100% certain though.
U of H is playing the Miami Hurricanes in Reliant Stadium this year. If LSU played them in Houston it would definitely be in Reliant Stadium which might be the best football stadium in the country. One thing most people don't realize is that there are more high school atheletes in Houston than in the entire state of Louisiana.
I didn't know about OU coming down to Houston to play. I do know that LSU is becoming popular with high school kids in Houston. It is getting harder for Texas kids to get into UT or A&M and they want to go to a bigger university. I see so many people with LSU shirts and hats on here in Houston now that you would think it was a in-state school.
LSU simply doesn't need to recruit Texas that hard..... The truth is that LSU has so much Louisiana talent in its' own backyard that "cherry-picking" Texas is all LSU needs to do. LSU just won a National Championship with both the offensive and defensive starting units made up of primarily Louisiana recruits. There were 8 or 9 starters on both sides of the ball who all were from Louisiana high schools. Look at the LSU rosters and depth charts and you will see them dominated with Louisiana kids. LSU has been having top ranked recruiting classes for the last several years while recruiting mostly Louisiana kids. There is a reason for that. It is because Louisiana is one of the traditional hot beds of recruiting itself. There is no reson to turn your back on your lifeblood which is Louisiana high school players to just go recruit kids from Texas. It would be stupid.
Well we haven't played a Texas team too often recently like we did in the past, Houston and UT in the Cotton Bowl and got spanked. But if you go to one of the recruiting services and look at the top ranked recruits in Texas just about everyone of them has LSU as one of their favorites so I would guess we do not need to play Houston or another Texas school, only that it probably helps a little maybe for a kid that has had is head in the sand the past few years or to help put us over the top for others.
We have a large and very active alumni chapter in Houston. I'm not at all worried about Coach Saban's ability to recruit that area.
