another possible 1st round pick we need to watch out for is Ali Highsmith....several draft boards after last year had him going as high at 17th. Ali could end up being a workout warrior and work his way up the board. He is your prototypical active NFL linebacker IMO

i hope ali goes that high. i thought he was undersized but if draft boards have him going in the 1st rd that would be awesome.

Am I the only one who thinks Brady Quinn will suck in the pros? He looked like a child among men out there the other night against USC. "Poised and at his best under pressure"? I don't think so. He looked like he wanted to cry under pressure, not unlike how he looked in the Fiesta Bowl last year.

There is plenty of room in the NFL for average, and even less than average, QBs. He may end up holding a clipboard on Sundays, but he'll be on a NFL team.

Re: Look what Mel Kiper said about our boys.

Ali could eventually go that high, he would probably have to go to the right scheme. For instance, a team like Denver likes a LB like Ali, they look for the smaller, but quicker LBs.

As for whoever said Doucet being a first rounded. Not this year. Early is the most athleticly gifted WR at LSU right now but he is a year away. Early still makes simple drops. I think one more year of learning, plus being the man next year he will be a certain first rounded. Of the recent LSU WRs Reed, Clayton, now Bowe and Davis, Early could be the best pro. He is a great combo of elsiveness, speed, and power. Lately he is really becoming consistently clutch. Id say a second or third rounded if he were to leave early, which I doubt and hope he doesnt.

One thing we need to remember here is that this list from Kiper is just SRs. At WR Jarret, Johnson, and probably Meachem will go ahead of Bowe. This will be a great WR class. I wonder where Buster will go, Id guess the second or third round?

Im surprised Kiper doesnt have Posluzsny on his list. That kid is a big time LB. Typical hard nosed Big Ten LB. On the other hand Im glad to see Willis from Ole Miss. All he does is get in on every tackle. He is a big time player.

Ur trippin...Doucet catches just about everything thrown at him...ASU game winning pass 4th down, Alabama 4th down crazy catch, Alabama pass intended for Bowe Game winning catch, Arkansas TD pass with defender's arm on the ball....He's not the route runner Bowe is, But he'll get there.

When it comes down to it....Brady Quinn will be drafted behind JaMarcus Russell.
