Carson Palmer played under the same system and seems to be a pretty good NFL QB so far. As much as I hate USC, as I always have since i'm a ND fan, but they are a really good team with some really good coaches and really good players.

LOL...hey, Pete may not be Knute Rockne, but he's definitely no Les Miles, either. :yelwink2:

He's pretty damn good, that's for sure. USC hasn't won this consistently in 25-30 years, so the HC has to get at least some of the credit, eh?

Leinart hasn't gotten touched yet this year minus that one beautiful hit the ASU dude laid on him!

And he always has a WR WIDE open

when he doesn't he just throws the the best safety valve in the history of football, Reggie Bush...

    Palmer had 1 targer, Williams

    Leinart has about 10...

Leinart will get beat around in the NFL with no O-Line and no weapons

IMO, Reggie Bush is the best college football player. SC will take a big blow next year minus these two guys.

Leinart is a good QB but there are better all across the country. They just dont have Reggie Bush and Lindale White to bail them out.

Leinart loses the ASU game without Bush and White.

He is 3rd best in that backfield.

Re: How does he fit that head in his helmet

I think that comment was more of a shot at the guy that hit him late in the ASU game and by all means did that guy hit him late. From watching ML on ESPN, I don't get that he's a guy that's full of himself. He seems pretty laid back and chill. I still pull for USC to lose, but I can give props where they're due and ML is a darn good QB. For someone that's accomplished as much as he, I'd expect more arrogance.

Tell that to Patriots fans. Norm Chow was a great coach and now they have so many athletes plus the leftover Chow teaching so they are still good.

LSU's players are just, if not more, cocky.

"I don't understand the philosophy of cheap shots, but I'm not one to talk about that," Leinart said. "Maybe people do want to knock out a quarterback from what I've accomplished. It's just normal."

Leinart is so beyond arrogant. He has totally forgotten that he has accomplished very little by himself. If it wasn't for his team, probably 80% of the defensive players could make Leinart their girlfriend. When he gets to the NFL he will find quite a few people who aren't that impressed. I worked for Johnny Unitas many years ago, and if he was doing the interview, I picture him telling how the Colts embarrassed the S.O.B., not whining that he was hit because he was famous.
