Boy, LSU baseball really is in the crapper. There was a doubleheader against Ole Piss today, and no one is even talking about it. BTW, we lost the first game by a score of 10-5, and we're losing the second game in which we're already down 7-zip in the 4th inning. I know that they're a young team, and I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. However, there has been absolutely no improvement in the team's play, if anything, they've gotten worse. Smoke has got to go, and the sooner, the better as far as I'm concerned. As old Dandy Don used to sing, "Turn out the lights, the party's over!!!!"
Wow! That's disappointing... :dis: I can't say that I've followed Ole Miss much this year (or any other year for that matter), but I know they had a pretty good squad last year... I really thought that taking the series vs 'Bama the other weekend was possibly a step in the right direction with reguards to turning the season around and making a charge towards the top. Now? Not so much. I still think we should be able to make regionals--though unless we really start winning some conference series, I don't know if we'll continue our streak of consecutive seasons hosting a regional. I haven't been to an LSU baseball game since before I left for Boston (2001), but now that I'm back in the south (Atlanta), I'm still looking forward to going to the games against Auburn in a few weeks. At the least, Auburn looks like a team that's much like us--in that we could possibly win a couple. :thumb:
ole piss 11-3 final. dirks got his tits ripped. gotta get the win tomorrow or oh boy, the tigers are in trouble.
Ole Piss won the second game 11-3. LSU was outhit 17-12. Pathetic, just f'ing pathetic!!!!!!!! If the Tigers even have a prayer at making the post season this year, I really think that there needs to be a coaching change now. Smoke is obviously not getting it done.
