If Stoops doesn't win eight games next year, he might not have to worry about this kid come signing day.
This kid sounds like a perfect fit for Miami, Florida State, Virginia Tech, or a few other institutions that prepare kids with an attitude for a lifetime in an institution. Hopefully this kid's comments were taken out of context but if not, he's only setting himself up for a fall with unreasonable expectations. What if Stoops told this kid that he must gain 1,000+ yards and 20 TDs this year in high school or his offer is rescinded? I like the kid that says "I'm going to AZ to ensure we win at least eight games!" instead of this ultimatum.
This is probably what a LOT of recruits are thinking but don't say. But as LSU fans we never have to worry about these kinda thoughts because of how well we have done. You kinda take winning for granted and realize that not everyone can win 8 games a year. Prestige and a winning program is something that we never have to worry about improving for a recruit. At first I took it as negative but really what he's saying is that he'd rather play for a school like LSU that wins a lot of games :geauxtige It really shows you how tough it is for the smaller schools that don't have the resources as we do to recruit the top players though.
A dollar says you're less than 25 years old and you've only seen the 21st century Tigers. I was once a blind-faith Tiger fan, too. Then I sat through 8 losing seasons in the 1990's. We naively never thought that would happen either, but it did. It could always happen again, amigo.
