How does his jawing "carry over to a play like this". Even guys who don't jaw make mistakes and cause penalties. Sorry, I just don't see the correllation. All season he has jawed and all season he has been VERY disciplined.

He made a stupid mistake (should not have clamped dem fingers down) and as tirk said, he will pay for it like any other player by getting his ass chewed. It had NOTHING to do with his jawing other than the soap opera that fans have in their minds.

In this game yes. In other games I don't remember a single memorable play from Claiborne when the Honey Badger was lighting up the highlight reel. I think you guys are off base and way overboard on your criticism of TM.[/QUOTE]

Really you don't remember 1 play from Claiborne? what about the INT's vs TN,Miss state. TM is a playmaker as far as cover corner his is average. Claiborne is a much better cover corner.

Maybe I didn't word it so that you would understand. What I meant to say (and what I thought I said) was that there was at least a game or two where the situation was reversed. Where Claiborne was silent and TM was lighting it up as opposed to this game where TM was silent and Claiborne was lighting it up. It just depends on the plays run by the offense and the situations that present itself. To me they are both deadly weapons, but some games one will shine and one may not.

Some people just have to complain about something. My guess is that the same ones whining and complaining about TM7 are many of the some ones who constantly biotched about CLM last year.

The young man made a split-second, adreneline-filled move in one of the most hyped games in SEC history. It was not dirty, not thuggish, not even stupid. It was simply an over-zealous mistake.

You can't expect these young athletes to play 1000% lights out on every play without an occasional crossing of the line. Momentum happens.

A heavy penalty was assessed and that should be the end of it.

Exactly. It was flagrant holding, but not a personal foul or anything. There are Bammers that think he should have been ejected and are campaigning to the SEC to have him suspended.

The worst part of the play was that it was TM7. His reputation precedes him and that worries me. Had it been Claiborne or anyone else, it would be a non-issue.

How many players have you seen hold via a clothesline motion and what appears to be a closed fist?

He threw his hands up and backed off as soon as he made contact. He knew he screwed up, but he didn't punch him.

The closed fist remark seemed to imply that. I apologize if I took that the wrong way. In rewatching the foul, it was not nearly as egregious as many are making it out to be.
