And if he doesn't go for the FG, and goes for it instead, then people like you are still crying, saying he doesn't know what he's doing, and that we should have attempted a FG. I don't read the in game threads, except for the last 2 or 3 pages. People get frustrated when things are going badly and come on here to vent. I just prefer to remain positive and have faith in the team's ability to overcome adversity. At the half, I felt we were very fortunate to only be down by 10 and figured Bama's O-line couldn't keep pushing us around like that. I was right. If I had perused the thoughts of other fans on the game thread, I would have gotten pissed, no doubt.
agree. i knew we'd takent their best shot and was only down 10. it felt like we were down 30 so we discussed how fortunate we were and how an opening drive would put us right in it. sure enough we march on down and the tide had turned so to speak. im still giddy.
I find it amazing that we have people coming on and making their first posts complaining about the coaches after we win last night. ramah has either a lot of aliases, or cousins.:hihi:
I'll admit, I haven't read all 6 pages of this thread, but I'll say what I have to say in defense of SOME Miles "bashers." Miles no doubt is a really great coach and I like him. But this staff has made some pretty boneheaded decisions, that cannot be denied. I don't recall CNS botching things up as much as this staff, HOWEVER, he did have his flaws--and I'm not going to go into them here. However.... CLM doesn't seem to be able to grasp the concept of a big game. Ok, he beat Oklahoma on occasion, but rivalries aren't rivalries without the other team winning its fair share of games, no? A lot of CLM's downfalls aren't ALL his fault. I think he needs to take control of the coaching staff... HE needs to make more calls. I don't like the way Fisher has been calling the games... what happened to CLM being the offensive minded coach he was "touted" as? How do I know Fisher is calling offensive plays? Because it is the same conservative "play not to lose" gameplan that he's been running since he's been here. I'm not bashing him, but I think it's time for CLM to show who he really is... He needs to take control of everything a la Saban and see what happens. I do think he is better than the sum of his ass. coaches. or something.
