ok fellas, this is a Tigerband Baritone, Thankyou for the wonderful comments. The rule is that in opposing teams stadiums in SEC, we are allowed two songs after the game not including playing the team off the field to Fight for LSU. We always play Let us Break Bread Together. So this past week we played one of the tunes we did on the field and then that. Thats an SEC rule and we have to abide by it. To answer the "HAHAHAHA" question, the song is known as Tiger Rag and we only play it during pregame at home. A few years ago people noticed what the students were saying to it, so we no longer lead the students in that cheer while at the home stadium. However, on most pep band trips we try to play it at least once in the stands. Hope to see you after the win in Oxford! Geaux Tigers
The Golden Band From Tiger Land RULES... A personal THANK YOU to every one in the band for so many years of memories and goose bumps (especially during pre-game).... Hold That Tiger....... Hold That Tiger.......
I have been to nearly every SEC away game as well as VT and AZ...As proud as I am of LSU representing the State of Louisiana in the road games I am just as proud of the Golden Band being there as well. Unfortunately, the Arizona fans didn't get an opportunity to see how great our band is too. You guys are awesome...my kids (1 & 4) get a total kick out of the band as well. The Tiger Stadium experience would only be 30% complete without the band, so you guys are worth 70% of the experience! Geaux Tigers
Peach, the words sang by the student section when we play Tiger Rag = "A$$hole!, A$$hole!" at a certain point in the music. - Definitely not the correct words. It has gotten so bad in my four years here, but it would be horrible if we took it out of Pregame now. To all the (true) Tiger Fans out there who love us, we love you guys too. When we make a 8 hour drive on cramped buses, and then see you guys (and gals of course) tailgatin' and partyin', it brings a smile to my face and i'm sure others as well. As long as there is a football team, there will the band, and there will be the fans. Many of the Tiger Band would have paid a lot of money to go to Arizona even to watch the massacre, but it just wasn't feasible. Such is the possible case with LSU headed to the Fiesta // Rose // Orange Bowl. We were lucky when we took the Sugar Bowl, but getting nearly 350 people (with much equipment) takes a lot of money. And we would probably take the famous Hotard company. SO, if it comes down to monetary support of us guys, please consider helping us out. There's been talk of a call for support if the AD isn't willing to 'ship' us out to the bowl game. finally, i'm graduating in may, and i can't wait to come back and watch the Tiger Band from the stands! hotty toddy this bag of dog crap, MPF
