was fantastic for all out of towners like myself. Anyone who lives out of state and can't get an actual "on site" view of the Tigers this sheds a little more light on what we have been reading about from the message boards, newspaper articles and self proclaimed "experts" on the subject. Everyone who did not get a chance to see the 1 hour practice should try to see a replay and you will be able to make make up your own mind on some of the player controversies swirlling around the boards. From what I saw.. J.Russell is as advertised in the athletically inclined department;passes were perfect. E.J. Kuale will be a star. Headman shows a LOT of attention to R. Prude & M. Stevenson. J. Spadoni looks real good. C.Taylor made me look his # up. C.Vaughn and G. Dorsey are gonna kick butt this year. And on and on. The point is this team seems to be on a razor thin edge of being N.C. contenders. It can go either way depending on lack of injuries and luck. The coaches are there, the players are there and the FANS are there to give them that push. We can sit at our keyboards and say,"I saw # so or so drop a pass,"I saw this player miss a tackle". The players and coaches are the ones going through this fall practice hell not us, so lets remember players and relatives of players read these boards. Our job as fans is to SUPPORT, let me say that again, SUPPORT our team. I think 10,000 strong at FAN DAY is a good start. The fans in the stadium do make a difference but remember this board goes a long way. Just my thoughts. :usaflagwa
I noticed dropped passes by recievers too. But I also saw some of the best coached, best conditioned athletes of any college football team in the nation. I also saw that ESPN was going live to LSU football practice today and NOT USC or Georgia or Texas or Miami. They drove their trucks and crew all the way to poor old pitiful Louisiana State to televise NATIONWIDE a PRACTICE at the PONDEROSA! I think they just might be wanting to get on the bandwagon this time since they missed it and were RUN OVER BY IT last year. GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :laflagwav :laflagwav :laflagwav :laflagwav
I too saw a couple of dropped passes which may have looked bad to the rest of the nation, but we all know that they'll have all that down by Sept. 4. Overall I liked the commentating and the way the team was portrayed. Saban ran that practice like boot camp. I was impressed by the condition of the players that they showed. It is said time and time again that Saban keeps his players hungry by concentrating on this season and this season only and it sure shows in practice. Provided Saban stays for the next 10 years or so, he has the makings of the next Bear Bryant. I got excited when Skyler was returning those kick offs. I just can't wait to see his fast cuts and shifty moves on the field this season. I believe I also saw Carter return one. Is it September yet? :geaux:
I thought it was funny how they sent Trev Alberts to Georgia and not LSU today. I guess he was worried that Marcus Spears would've speared him through the fences
