Buddy you need to chill out. Miles is not incompetent. Apparently you missed it, but LSU won. LSU did not play well in the second half, and Miles is part of the reason, but you can't expect a team to win by 40 points every game. There will always be at least one game in which a team plays poorly. If it is lucky, it will still manage to win. That says a lot for the team. And this win says a lot about LSU. Oh, by the way. Even if you're right, 11-2 is pretty darn good.
I felt like we were back in the Saban/Fisher era when we would talke a lead into the 4th and play not to lose. However, considering the sloppy field conditions and that Flynn had a high ankle sprain, I'm not complaining. We dominated the #12 ranked, and very well coached, team in the nation for 3 quarters. Nothing to be ashamed of in this victory. :geauxtige
I guess our coaches left and stopped paying attention after we went up 28-7... Way wayyy too much running in the 2nd half. This is what happens when you stop throwing the ball...you let teams back into games. Not only were Flynn's throws off today, he missed a LOT of open receivers, he seemed very hesitant to throw the ball. Thankfully for us, we have a power running game and dominating defense. It was an extremely aggravating game to watch because USCe kept on converting on wide open passes on 3rd down. I would say this is a good reality check game that we need to to learn from cause we made a lot of mistakes today but we still won pretty solidly. Florida won't be the same...
Yeah might as well call this a tie, possibly a loss, because missing Early Doucet and Charles Alexander and having crappy weather during a game against a tough opponent with a beat up QB are no excuses for a 12 point victory! DOOM AND GLOOM DOOM AND GLOOM!!!!
This team has more heart than just about any LSU team I have seen. The win over USCe in the rain with injured players will do nothing but solidify this team more than ever. Look for LSU to be in the NC game,no BS. I pity Tulame!:geauxtige :geauxtige
Who is the incompetent coach? The coach who gets ultra conservitive with a 21 point lead and the best defense in the country. :dis: Or the coach who goes for 4th and 1 on the opponant's 30 yard line and kicks a field goal when you are 21 points down late in 4th quarter. Just curious. I personally believe both of the coaches are excellent coaches.
Good post. Darth Visor didn't have his A game today. Of course, our D had something to do with it. :thumb:
I have to admit, I was kind of disappointed at first, but after really thinking about it there were only 2 play calls that LSU made that I really didn't like... Once in the 1st hald we had them at 3rd & 24 and we called a corner blitz, I found that kind of strange, and they converted. Second weird call was in the second half.. that darned flea-flicker. I mean, yeah it looks good to pull off something like that, but as we now know.. when ya get greedy and it goes wrong, it goes way wrong.. i.e. interception and a score from SC following. All that said, I'm not unhappy about the way we played today. It was a little sloppier than usual, but we showed that even if you negate the pass game, we still have a tremendous rushing capability. I almost thought for a while there my prediction of 28-10 was going to hold true, but they had to go and flick fleas... lol.. Lastly, after seeing Florida struggle with Ole Miss, I can't wait. That game is going to be a BIG one. I love football, and more importantly, our Tigers! :geauxtige  :geauxtige
