Didn't see this coming. Houston is saying that they are willing to get into a bidding war with Texas, LSU and whoever to keep their head coach. They have the deep pockets, so I guess it comes down to how ambitious Herman is if all other things are equal.

Frankly, everyone has money. Just because Harbaugh makes 9 mil per year, doesn't mean that Texas is throwing that at their next coach just because they can. But if a coach likes where he is and he just wants to be paid accordingly, then Herman is getting a significant bump from his 3 mil salary.
