I can agree with this. Although I am not defending miles at all here, that isn't the point. I'm just pointing the accomplishments are similar. Where do we go up or down is yet to be determined.
The question is can Jimbo maintain LSU's D? He's running FSU with 3 losses/year the past two years and he isn't an interim. He doesn't have LSU budget for assistants but he's not doing to shabby relative to the rest of the NCAA.
remains to be seen. when he had Pruitt in Tallahassee, he had a top 3 defense. Pruitt got a better paying job, and Jimbo had to replace him on the cheap. at LSU, there aren't many schools out there who will outbid you for your assistants. and when they do leave, LSU is willing to pay top dollar for their replacements.
I hear jimbo and I remember bubble screen for 3 yards every freaking other play. Grant it things change but I still don't think jimbo is the answer. If he comes here I hope he proves me wrong
I dont know when we break the bank to get jimbo here how are we going to pay for the top tier assistants? All of this doesn't happen in a vacuum
You folks continue to link the athletic budget to that of the school. It's a completely different color of money.
Exactly. TAF brings in so much, they're always giving to the academic side. LSU Football alone brings in almost $100M in revenue, if you want championship results you have to spend championship type money. Wish people understood that.
we're talking about a team that brought in over $80 million in revenue last year alone. the extra $2-3mil per year this is going to cost LSU is not going to "break the bank"
Your talking about 2-3 mil per year like it is pocket change. Not to mention the miles buy out. 10-1 says the TAF fees increase if this goes through.
