Jimbo is only 51. But I guess my future with him at LSU is gone before it began. At least as a HC. I'm crushed.

And how did this sexy hire workout...?
In his final year with the Sooners, his offense was one of the best in the country, averaging 44 points per game.[4] In December 2009, it was announced that Sumlin was a finalist for the Paul "Bear" Bryant Award. In 2011, Sumlin coached Houston to a 12–0 start before losing the Conference USA Championship Game to the Southern Miss Golden Eagles.[5]

On December 10, 2011, Sumlin told his players that he was leaving Houston, effective immediately, in order to accept a job at another school.[6] KRIV in Houston and ESPN's Joe Schad both reported that Sumlin was to become the new coach at Texas A&M.

Yep some people whine and bitch just to whine and bitch. Eaux is not a bad choice and might end up being the best choice. How do know Herman would be so great? I like the guy but since he shit the bed against 3 nobody teams because of distractions/pressure what would happen if he was here and had to deal with the pressure of LSU/ gumps, or LSU/ ol piss, or LSU war chickens.

Conversely eaux had this team hyped up and ready to roll at college station to play a game that means nothing for us. That is the untangables that miles could not get out of our players. Herman may have that but the losses plus the 6 mil price tag is to much.

We also stumped the gumps for 4 quarters. Technology 3 holds in one play was the only reason they scored a touchdown on us.

    LaSalleAve when in doubt, mumble

But scoring a combined 10 points against Florida and Alabama is just what the doctor ordered right?

So Texas is getting Herman and Purdue is getting Fleck. Gotta be honest, it kinda hurts.

Losing to Navy, SMU and Memphis are what the doctor ordered? Point is, not every coach can be Saban or Meyer. LSU didn't paint thier self in a corner here. We were NOT going to win a bidding war with Texas. We made the right move. We made the recruits happy, made a smart move financially and if it doesn't work out, we are in a prime position to go get the next Tom Herman. The sky hasn't fallen. If O can't do it from an X's and O's stand point with a proven OC, he will at the very least leave the team loaded with talent for our next HC.

Nothing we can do. Let's look forward to the future and cheer our Tigers and thier new coach on.
