    A star is born

I did not see any stars tonight. The offense was terrible. It did hang tough and pull out a win. Both QB's stunk it up and both were able to help pull our fat out of the fire in the end. If it wasn't for our defense the game would not have been close enough for any one to pull the game out.

ANDERSON was impressive. YOU people are GRASPIN! THEY both sucked!

If JR impressed you folks hell Brett Favre in his debut at USM would have made u sh!t yur pants! my god if it's that easy to impress you folks why not watch the slippery rock. appalatchian state game?

my granny could have made the throw to green in the end zone.

I think Nick will have them both throwing ALOT of balls.

I just hope they BOTH IMPROVE .......ALOT.......SOON.......I dont care who....

Way to trash a true freshman qb who led your team to a victory.
Some of you people are unreal.

So I guess you expect a true freshman to play like a 5th year Senior.

Worst performance from a 5th year senior i've ever seen, he was throwing the ball
behind receivers or 5 yards in front of them or just throwing the ball out of bounds.
    He was truely rattled.

At least JM didn't panic like Marcus did, he was able to throw some good passes unlike
    Marcus.

I'd love to see Marcus be the starter and excel but it aint going to happen!

I think perhaps that we should wait until Arkansas State to decide what we really think. Keep in mind the field conditions were screwy. I bet Saban's gonna give Randall another shot versus ASU, and see how he does on (hopefully) a dry field. I've found that Randall is good as long as he is previously good. Once he screws up, he's finished for the night. He loses his composure. Eerily reminiscent of Josh Booty. Of course, since his first pass was an interception, that haunted him for the remainder of the game, if you ask me. Russel looked good at times, but he certainly wasn't stellar. Again, tho, I bet Saban puts Randall in next weekend.

Can I get an AMEN? Russell looked horrible his first two drives. After that he did look better than Randall, but against a noticeable tired defense that wasn't getting the same amount of pressure on him as Randall. And people seem to forget that Randall made a beautiful touchdown pass that was called back, AND he came off the bench and made a beautiful pass to Adai. Both QB's made some good throws that were just plain dropped, and that's disturbing. And the pressure there D line was getting, particularly against Randall, just scares me. That's not gonna work come SEC play.

Let's all hope it was first game jitters under the added pressure of defending a NC.

Dwayne Bowe is definitely our go to receiver. He will take the place of Michael Clayton. We just need someone to hit him in stride and not thrown behind him all the time. He made a few nice catches that should not have been caught.
