he said we then said offense defense and special teams. I agree he deflected blame where it belongs...on the coaching staff. this was a chance for him to step up and take the brunt of the criticism as a man for the 1000's of LSU fans wanting some answers to saturday night. wait, that was monday. i think im back in a foul mood.
Well, the general philosophy in coaching is that in close games if you're at home you play for overtime; If you're on the road you play for the win. I have heard this my entire life. It's nothing new. I have been saddened by the display of idiocy the past few days by LSU fans. Once upon a time we were among the most respectful and knowledgable fans in college football. Now I think we've started to integrate with AU fans. Why? Because we lost to the #10 team in the nation? OU is out of the frickin' top 25 and I see nowhere near the number of morons over at Soonerfans.com that we have over here. Get a frickin' grip folks...
You dont coach for overtime when you players are dropping from cramps and the other team has momentum... a GOOD coach doesnt always follow "coaching for dummies"
Did God, aka Saban, ever come out & say - "We lost because I'm totally inadequate & unable to coach at this level." No. He wasn't above putting blame on players either.
