LaFleur's career kinda ended like Nutt's with the parents and all but the school I work at has not won a District title in football since he left. His jersey was retired at UL and he'd played LB for Denver had he not blown out a knee.

People know where they stand with that guy- he's rough on the surface but really a guard and has a good heart. He likes to yell at his teachers and sec but they love him and know he's full of it.

well i think lafleur was geniunely a good guy; but you know good guys don't make great coaches. And yea, he was a helavu athlete to I heard.

Coach Dup did great things while in Basile. he was a great coach, disciplinarian, and motivator. To be honest not really sure if he played football in high school; but he told me he was a pretty good basketball player! My junior year we went 7-3-1 and my senior year we went 10-0-1. He took the team in 97; year after I graduated to the semifinals. The year after the semis he became principal, did that for a few years; and now is at Crowley High doing a great job. Wish he would have stayed in Basile. But you know how that goes.
