in no particular order, moments i've been apart of.... 1) me and a friend um... disrespecting a statue of uga in athens this year and burritos as big as your head in 99 in athnes. 2) watching chuck wiley spend the day in bama's backfield in 97 when we blanked em 26-0. also taking the charlie's angels pose out front of long john silver's. 3) watching the best taco bell employee ever rush thru orders outside of auburn at 3 am in 96. he was utterly amazing! that was the fire game. 4) Losing our car flag and upsetting some cajun sitting behind us at the game in the 95 indy bowl. (also camping out all night for tickets). also destroying the spartans, Take that, Saban! 5) having what feels like home field advantage when tailgating on university dr at UF. and after the game trying not to get in a fight with the old couple in a walker and a cane trying to start one. guess being a gator fan is forever. 6) visiting every bar in ATL during the peach bowl in 96. ok not every bar, but the straight ones. also we sat next to clemson fans and made the bet that every time your team scored the other fans would buy you drinks. Thanks for the defensive struggle guys! 10-7?????!! by the 2nd quarter we were buying drinks when first downs were made. 7) that time in starkville... oh wait that wasn't fun. but me and 3 other pals beat a state contingent in the drinking game: anchor. respresentin'! 8) spending the night in a trailer in oxford in 96. it was heated. oh well, when in rome, i guess. 9) having the absolute worst seats in neyland stadium, but hey the view of the city and river was nice. oh and by the way, could you play rocky top one more time? maybe i'll remember how it goes after the 112the time. 10) watching the tigers win the nat'l championship not in the dome but in the state palace theatre. it really was the next best thing to being there. despite the bad drink service and restroom lines. also the night i learned how to pee in a bottle. (well mostly in a bottle).
then as we know, toi cook became a pro bowl defensive back for the saints. oh wait the saints can't have an all pro defensive back. my bad. i think #41 is still getting burned. Bad memories!!!
while your list seems more like a tool to tell your weak LSU memories which aren't really funny, #5 totally redeems the entire post. So much so, I must commend you for doing so.
Good list. I agree with most of those but Blanton's layup in Superdome was against Georgetown when they were ranked No. 2. He also beat UNLV with last second 3 pointer the same year.
i wouldnt put the bluegrass miracle up there, it was kentucky for god's sake. id replace it with shaq's coming out party against #2 zona. there's gotta be some 80-81 basketball moments im not aware of, too.
Oh yeah, let's leave out a 70 somethin yard play to win a game? That should be darn near #1 behind championships, and should be #2 to Morris on individual plays
My personal favorite is sitting in the student section of the Superdome at the NC game, trying to sing Hey Fightin' Tigers through the tears of joy in the final seconds of the Sugar Bowl. :crystal: Only late last season was I able to sing it without starting to tear up..
Carey hit the slam as a freshman off Big Ben McDonald. He went on to break Mark McGwire's PAC-10 career HR mark, and I met him through a mutual friend immediately after his last Stanfurd home game. I made it a point to punish dude for his transgression... ...and he was actually pretty cool about it... We got SWEET REVENGE on the Cardinal in 2000, however... :thumb:  LSU! LSU! LSU! LSU!
