    You cannot have a 'Greatest Bass Players of All Time' list without Steve Harris from Iron Maiden. Because of the type of music, I know alot of people either have never heard of him or his music, but dude is a genius. He plays the bass like a lead guitar and he doesn't use a pick. Totally plucks the strings with his fingers only. Any bass player that uses a pick is not really a bass player.

    Jaco Pastorius, Charles Mingus, Jack Bruce, Jon Entwistle, Paul Chambers... man I could go on and on, but that's just the musician in me.

    Oh and how could I forget Stanley Clark. Dang.

    Geddy Lee is the best techincal bass player out there. Lee Rocker is another top notch player.
