Counting down from 5 to 1: LSU vs. Tulane 1984 (mainly b/c of huge brawl at the end of the game) LSU vs. Auburn - It seems that this series should have its own sub-category. LSU vs. Florida 1997 - I'll never forget the guy in the stands next to me saying to me just before Ced Donaldson INT for a TD, "A defensive score will win this game." LSU vs. UGA 2003 IN BR LSU vs. UGA SECCG 2003 - Walking out that stadium, everyone knew we were the best team in the country. It just felt like it.
LSU @ UK 2002- Bluegrass Miracle Auburn vs LSU 2005----sideline LSU @ Bama 2005-----sideline LSU vs. Florida 2005----sideline LSU vs. Auburn 2003--31-7
5. LSU vs. Tenn 2000 4. LSU vs. Auburn 2001 3. LSU vs. Florida 2002 2. LSU vs. Georgia 2003 1. LSU vs. OU 2004 ~ 2003 National Championship
5. LSU-Barners '04 4. LSU-AU '01 3. LSU-UT '01 (@ SECCG)- everyone was sure we were going to lose 2. LSU-UGA '03 (@ home)- Amazing. Still remember it like it was yesterday. 1. LSU-UF '97 - even more amazing is that I remember this one to this day. It's the game that made me GET what it meant to be an LSU fan. (I had tix to the NCG and my grandfather GAVE THEM AWAY- it's cool though, I got to watch it at home... :'( )
That game was my one shining moment. Crip and I sat literally with the band and were on TV most of the night. Then to cap it off, a Sportscenter highlight shows us along with the band taunting FL fans with the gator chop. Sad thing is, I don't have it on tape anymore.
i have never been to an SEC ch game nor did i attend the NC. (not for a lack of trying, begging, and pleading) i also wasn't in attendance for LSU UGA '03. 1) LSU vs UF 97 2) LSU vs AU 95 (bringing back the magic) 3) LSU vs Tenn. 2000 OT 4) LSU vs MSU 2000 OT (back and forth) 5) LSU vs AU 01 (to go to atl) wasn't the best game but that was a pretty big milestone at the time, really enjoyed ourselves. to top it our tix were in the visting section on the east side. hon mention LSU at AU (fire game) '96(i think) that was a great weekend i think it's also worth a mention of the great games that LSU lost that were just good games: LSU vs AU (cecil game) LSU vs AU '06 (refs suck) unfortuantely i attended LSU at UGA in '99 and LSU at Tenn in '01
1) 2003 Sugar Bowl 2) 2001 SECCG vs. Tennessee - Loved watching Vol fans eat their Roses. 3) 1997 Florida - Had to sit in the South endzone away from my North endzone seats. Other than that this would probably be #2. 4) 2000 Tennessee overtime. 1st overtime play 25 yd. TD to Robert Royal. Nice. 5) 2005 Auburn - Doink!
1. Rice, 1977 77-0. Total domination. Carlos Carsons first 5 colllege receptions were all touchdown bombs, an NCAA record. 2. Southern Cal, 1979 We wuz robbed. Blown call by the official costs LSU the game. 3. Florida, 1997 Beat the undefeated defending National Champion. Beat Darth Visor. The goals posts came down for the first time in Tiger Stadium. People tore up the turf for souvenirs. They had to turn off the stadium lights to get the fans to leave after the game. 4. Georgia, 2003 This was LSU's coming out party for the National Championship year. It was the game where Nick found out that the crowd could contribute to a victory for LSU. 5. Auburn, 1988 The Earthquake Game. The loudest single Tiger Stadium moment in LSU history. Geez, I hate to leave out Ole Miss 1972--last second win, Alabama 1973--battle of the undefeateds, and Florida State 1982 when LSU fans covered the field with oranges as LSU locked up the Orange Bowl bid.
1. LSU vs UGA 2003- every year my friends and I have a "the band's getting back together" game. This was the game we picked for '03- felt like old times and even sat back in the good ole' student section. The game was awesome, but beyond hot. I had ran 10 miles around campus that morning (my group and I carried our LSU flags) and by the end of the day I was majorly dehydrated- didnt care, the Tiga's beat Georgia. 2. LSU vs FL 1997- I didnt go to the first half, but ran like crazy to get into the stadium at halftime. My friend was one of the first to rush the field, ran right up to Spurrier and screamed "Yea, that's how we do it in Death Valley. Suck it Spurrier". To this day he is a legend among my friends. 3. LSU vs Bama 2000-We finally beat them at home. I had a professor from Bama and she was beyond annoying. It was fun to rub that one in her face. I told her she had to burn her "the Tide can't lose in Baton Rouge" t shirt. She got her revenge in 2002. 4. LSU vs Illinois, Sugar Bowl- It was just a great day and a great game. 5. LSU vs Arkansas 2003- Exactly one month before I was getting married, nice crisp weather, and an easy win. There was some small talk about going to the NC, but who would have known..... Honorable mention: LSU vs Tenn 2000- was fun to rush the field. LSU vs Oklahoma, NC- Wasnt at the game, but watched it while sitting 5 feet away from a Jamacian beach. I was on my honeymoon.
