Am I reading the play by play correctly? Did Michigan have a chance to force overtime and went for 2 instead and failed? At home, holy shit that's ballsy.
I liked the call. It was ballsy and I think with the season you have had, the right call. Nothing to lose.
On the road, I would agree. Generally accepted that, at home, advantage in OT favors the home team. Or is that just a myth? They still exposed Ohio State, somewhat.
I've never seen a shittier team go 24-0 in my entire life. Michigan State will have to literally hand them the ball game next week. Because they certainly won't earn it on their own.
I agree with you. I think on the road you can go for 2 and try to win it right there. At home, you have to take your chances in OT.
Never thought of it like that. However with a pump-fake to the opposite side of the field I think they get the win.
The play call was awful. It was to go to one man, who they triple teamed. Really? Funny thing is I was thinking to myself before they scored the TD that they should line up for 2 just to make Ohio State call a timeout (32 seconds and a timeout is enough time to get into FG range). I was excited to see that they did just that. Then they actually put the offense back on the field and I said "oh no".
a lot like baseball, you play for the win in the top of the 9th if you're behind, but you play to tie if you're in the bottom of the 9th at home
