Shit worked. DE’s were playing aggressive as fuck and beating our tackles easily. Zone read would have instantly stopped those DE’s and in an RPO designed offense, it can actually help protect your quarterback better, so I don’t know either.
Nope no bullshit. If you look at our offense vs Fla we passed more and spread the ball around more and gashed them for long runs. What you are also not seeing is Jeaux being sacked 5 times and running for his life which negated a lot of plays. Maybe Aranda's defense could have played better and maybe all those stupid penalties stopped a lot of creative plays. Sorry the bullshit is on you.
4th and short Inability to react to defensive adjustments ever wonder why we have trouble in the 3rd qtr?
We had (3) penalties involving the punting game, and all in the 3rd qtr. One catch interference when we punted. One holding when we were receiving a punt. And the third was an illegal block when we were receiving a punt return.
No not wondering at all. Ever wonder that we are down to 2 TE's and we had to move a WR to that position? You ever wonder not having both Pettigrew and Moss totally puts a cog in E's offense? Do you wonder how that limits what we do running and passing? Both Pettigrew and Moss would do wonders for our offense right now. I aslo wonder why when we went ahead with 8:50 minutes left why the defense didn't step up? Why do you guys always and I mean always blame the OC? Boring
A.) Because you don't blame the 18-23yrd olds who aren't being paid, even tho they're the ones actually playing the game. B.) You blame the coaches, the ones being paid Millions to coach these kids, the guys who are supposed to make sure this shit doesn't happen. The Offense as a whole; could not hold blocks, could not protect the QB, struggled to open holes for the RB's, couldn't catch, couldn't get open, couldn't create separation, committed drive and momentum killing turnovers, turned the ball over multiple times, gave up a pick 6... and the OC oversees everyone who makes sure that shit doesn't happen. When it does, it's the OC's fault. Much the same way why ultimately it is O's fault, never do you see the coordinators names in print being blamed for losses.
if you recall I said the entire coaching staff shit the bed, but since you brought it up: steve is slow to react to adjustments. the 1st two drives were a thing of beauty but after the d adjusts? with auburn, miami, la tech, and effin sela too? add that to the lack of focus demonstrated by the team and the staff's inability to overcome it and you get what happened saturday...what makes it worse is that Lawrence is breaking down and the d isn't playing great situational football at the wrong time of the year ensminger has done a credible job but he's not walking on water just yet
