I thought this thread was going to be about a guy taking a hit for his best friend by getting on the fat chick friend of a hot girl...

 

Noted, but given the content of the thread, horribly inappropriate. I remember his posts before the storm. I can't fathom that he is no longer with us...I guess there is no way to know for sure, but it has been a long time. :bncry:

 

I agree with you, my husband told me that some of the people down in Venice still do not have power, I think that Happy Jack is somewheres down that way, so maybe we can think that. I am still holding on to that thought, I didn't know wingman, but I sure would like the chance.

 

Happy Jack is between Pointe la Hache and Port Sulphur. This area was totally destroyed by Katrina.

 

Is that near Venice?

 

About 30 to 40 miles north of venice.

Did Happy Jack get hit worse than Venice?

 

When you pull out a map of La, look directly south of Belle Chase(just south of New Orleans) and you will find happy jack, buras, port sulphur and venice. I think all three towns got about the same damage.

 

Thanks Dutchtown, I had to bring my husband to Venice on Thursday because his car broke down in Covington, I could not believe the devastion I saw. My husband had told us that it looked like a bomb had went off but it was unreal to see what I saw.

I am still gonna just hope that wingman is still without power or something. My husband had also told me that lots of people still do not have power in Venice. Their rig is running on a generator. He told us that there is one store open in Venice and all that the guy sells there is ice and beer. And I did see a sign at that store that said he was the only one to have beer too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

I just wish we could hear something from wingman, he seemed like a nice guy, and from his posts that I read he loved LSU.

 

I'd like to apologize for my earlier post here. I didn't read what the thread was actually about, only glanced & saw that it wasn't about what I originally thought it would be from the thread title.

Hopefully wingman is safe. There is a good possability he is just without power, or has been evacuated & probably has much bigger concerns than logging onto TF. I'll hope for the best.
