For me it is the present time. This forced dormancy after a season highs and lows leaves me like an ectothermic creature waiting for the return of sustenance.

For all of you young single guys out there, learn a lesson from this. Make SURE your potential future wife knows exactly what she's getting herself into regarding your sports attention. THAT way, you're not put in a situation of having to make "trades" and all that junk like our poor guy Calco here!!!!!!!!!!!!! :thumb::D

She doesnt abuse it too bad i must say.

Some of the things i actually enjoy but i dont tell her

I make it out to be torture.

Like the wine tasting trips to Napa and the weekend getaways.

The theatre i go just for her. It is one Sunday every month or so.

I have the exact opposite problem. My husband complains that I'm too obsessed with football. I just throw his golf obsession right back at him (I like to golf, too, about once a year in optimal 72 degree situations). But he truly doesn't understand how much I LOVE football.

I nearly got a divorce last year because I went to the LSU-BAMA game. She said I shouldn't go just because she was 2 days shy of her due date with our second child.(another boy and future Tiger fan)

If your wife was two days shy of her due date, I kind of see her point! I was freaking out last winter when my husband took a business trip to New Jersey three weeks before our second daughter (and future Tiger fan) was due.

I'd say it's probably summer time as a Tigers fan. However, I'm a diehard Astros fan as well so summer is good for me as sports fan.

I told her not to worry because God is a tiger fan too. There's no way he would allow her to go into labor during an LSU-BAMA game. Our son was born 3 days later.

Now is the worst time for going without football. I am still in football mode, and know that there is one more game coming, but it is soooo far away.

I don't mind spring because my fav sport is baseball so I am in the middle of complete obsession with it. And July sucks, but because I am going through major baseball withdrawal!
