There is an actual Toy Hall but to date, there are only 56 toys inducted.

What are the toys you think should be there and by what criteria?

Still trying to get my mind around crayons. Never thought of crayons as a toy.

Last weekend while cleaning my attic, found some games, Mall Madness, NKOTB, Sweet Valley High, Dream Phone, in total, around 20 games. I found a few things with the instructions in only English. Lol

Plastic army men. You could never have enough. The best thing was to set them up and then take sniper shots at them with a rubber band.

edit: looked down the list and now see that they are on there.

Bicycles are toys? Playing cards? Not a toy. Chess is a game but not a toy. The Etch A Sketch should be called a mental torture device. I could never draw anything cool with one and even the bad ones disappeared with a single accidental shake.

The one that takes the cake though is the stick. Come on. We have all played with sticks and I suppose you could call it a toy but to put the stick in the Hall of Fame??? That's like giving the Heisman Trophy to Gino Torretta

Think you are being a little hard on the stick, dude. Toys are supposed to inspire play and imagination. Given most toys made, they are produced 1 dimensionally for few purposes other than what they are intended for. Not much versatility in a slip n slide. A stick, inspired by imagination can be near anything you want it to be. It can be sculpted and made into a multitude of toys.

Sure, it's a stick, but is likely the oldest toy we know.

I used to make slingshots out of a forked stick. And I had a pogo stick when I was 7 or 8.

As long as the stick is on the list you might as well include the air guitar too
