I was wondering if anyone knows why the SEC office is still holding up Travonte Valentine. Seems to me he could be of great help to the defensive line...

The fact that we are worrying about that guy who has never played a down of college football 4 games into the season speaks to how horrible our D Line play was on Saturday.

A D-Line of Dorsey, Williams, Mingo, Brockers, Jackson, Ego, etc. all together wouldn't have been worth a damn either if they spent 60% of the game on the field.

Look what happened to that great defense in the 2011 BCS Championship game. They barely had time to get a drink of Gatoraid before they were back on the field. Even the 70's Steel Curtain Defense would have gotten worn out

You're right but the D didn't spend 60% of the time on the field. Through out most of the game we had a greater TOP. At the end it was only an 8 second difference (we had 30:08 min to MSU 29:52). It seemed like it but MSU scored so quickly we didn't have time to get tired. I think they got discouraged after the O was so futile for so long.
