This is one reason i like this board...I visit fairly often, but dont post, since im not really an LSU fan. The majority of people here are very intelligent when it comes to teams other than their own and can carry on a good conversation about them, sadly, somewhat unlike the board I post on for my team /sigh. Living in Ohio, I see coverage of OSU all year, and for anyone to say that Tressel is not a classy individual is just ridiculous. He is a fiery competitor who doesn't quit until the game is over and I defy anyone to find a coach who isn't that way...he wouldn't be a coach if he wasn't. As for cheap shots during the game....all teams do them, emotions get the better of these kids and they do stupid things and make stupid penalties. This has no bearing on the coaching staff (for the most part), obviously if your Miami of the 80's its a different story. But anyways...congrats on the win, way to bring another home for the SEC.
That's not a prerequisite, sound off brutha. You sound very level-headed, would be a very welcomed poster here and keep us up to snuff on what's happening up Nawth.
Coach Tressel, his team and tOhio State fan base who I got to socialize with quite a bit Sat, Sun and Mon are nothing but class. :thumb:
I would like to add that anyone that thinks that the last LSU touchdown was "rubbing it in" is highly mistaken. We needed that TD. Without it, OSU would have had the ball back down by two scores. A quick drive (which we are known to give up) and and an on-side kick that goes their way and LSU fans would have been screaming for all eternity about how Miles let up before the game was sign sealed and delivered. And I would agree with the sentiment that Miles wanted to give some defensive players some important play time. Jai Eugene will be playing the entire NC game next year and I feel better knowing that he got some playing time and was tested. Oh, and Tressel = class
How manypersonal fouls were called on OSU players? I rest my case. That blow to Scott when the game was over WAS a cheap shot.:thumb: And if we kept guys like Dorsey and the rest of the NFL prospects, they may have gotten hurt unnecessarily.
I almost totally disagree. If Ohio St would have recovered, the game wasn't completely out of reach. I appreciate Ohio St playing to the final whistle.
Wow, this tread is living proof that some folks can find something to bitch about even in the best of times. It's an artform, in some ways. ...or perhaps an illness.
