I think this could be an upset.... Va Tech plays that attacking style of defense that Pac 10 temas rarely have top go up against. Combine that with an all new O-line, and Lineart may be eating much grass....
17 points was an excellent opening line and should not move I look for USC to stumble early and come back and win ... by around 14 points ... but this game isn't in my Top 10 for the opening week of 9/4 ... so I'm not going to wager a cent on it. Break into those piggies ... it's time to "clean up" in 2004 with your free and on-line sports selections ... the game is this Sat Aug 28. If it was on 9/4 I would not give it a second of attention. The only game on 9/4 is LSU

1. Game is three time zones away from USC -- over half the distance between America and Europe. 2. USC has no offensive line experience. 3. Virginia Tech is excellent at home (this isn't at Blacksburg, but it should be 97% Tech fans). 4. Virginia Tech plays its best ball at the beginning of the year, especially against good teams. 5. Frank Beamer is a better coach than Pete Carroll. 6. USC is down two starters for crimes. Thirteen other players are currently under some sort of investigation. That's a whole lot of off-season distraction. 7. USC's WR corps is "bombed out and depleted" (credit to Silky Johnson). Add that to no OL and Leinart will be lucky to throw for 200 yards. 8. USC's 110th rated pass defense from last year lost its two top starters to graduation. 9. 2003-2004 USC is the most overrated team in the history of college football. 10. Can anyone think of a #10? I couldn't stop at #9. How about USC is playing with a target on its back. It's hard being #1.

I would be tempted to put a few $$$ on Pussy Tech if I could get them at -17. Anything less and I wouldn't touch it. The Vagina Boys are Mr. September in the past few seasons and the Condoms without Mike Williams won't get off to the same roll they did against the PlainWarFakeTigerEagles last year.
