Back to the original post. Was trump in trouble then? He certainly should have been, but was he in ACTUAL trouble? Not as long as Republicans were in charge and protecting him. Republicans do not believe in accountability, only about winning. Republicans at the time of Nixon would have punished him. Republicans pre-Limbaugh would have punished him. But the game has changed... ANYTHING is acceptable behavior as long as their guy is doing it. Is he in trouble NOW? Damn right he is.
