That being said, there really is no comparison to Clinton's 08 campaign having some fringe characters who were bringing up race out of desperation when the race was all but sewed up and Trump calling press conference after press conference to push the notion that our first black President wasn't really a US citizen. And then to use that very subject to propel yourself into political prominence among the right is even worse. I know HRC isn't on anyone's Honest Abe list but this one isn't on her.

That it was 20 years ago is irrelevant because this speaks to decades of treating women as objects and not humans. This speaks to Trump's character. You can try to make this about her all you want but smart people know better.
