1. yeah, that's seriously fucked up,.. is shame on him
  2. Of course. Real dirty deeds should be exposed when they are investigated and proven to be real by responsible journalists. Unfortunately the profession of journalism has degenerated into both infotainment in place of real news and the promotion of whatever agenda the "news" organization wants to slant. There are no Edward R. Murrows, Walter Cronkites telling us thats the way it is or Woodward and Bernsteins. Now they are all just whores seeking attention and clicks on their websites to increase advertising revenue.

The press is still free - free to say anything they want unbridled with no checks and balances to reign in their rampant appeasement of the Gods of Social Media.

  4. Are you kidding? Go back and look at James Risen of the NY Times. Holder attempted to force him to identify his source. When they didn't get it from him, they went elsewhere and ended up prosecuting Jeff Sterling.

"A former CIA officer who was involved in a highly secretive operation to give faulty nuclear plans to Iran was convicted Monday of providing classified information about his work to a New York Times reporter — a significant win for federal prosecutors and a presidential administration that has worked zealously to root out leakers.

As guilty verdicts were read on all nine criminal counts, Jeffrey Sterling stared emotionless at the jurors who decided his fate."

I'm sorry but Obama's history is on the books. Trump hasn't done anything yet.
  5. that's Liberty,.. and a price you pay for Democracy.
  6. I'm not kidding. Did you even read my post? I said Obama crossed the line and I said I'm concerned about the steps the new administration is taking towards the media.

  8. Trump needs to become presidential.

Not a businessman, not a tycoon, not a campaigner, but the leader of this country. His tweets and his spats with the press simply make him look like a small person. His speeches are a joke, they still sound like he is campaigning.

I would love to see his presidency be a raging success, but it is not and only a month or so in, it is pretty safe to say it wont. Small, senseless measures, as barring the press or stating the press is the enemy of the people, simply validate his pettiness and ineptitude to more and more people.

While it may give some gut level of satisfaction to bar the very liberal and unbalanced NYT, CNN and WAPO, it is wrong and it will bite his butt before it is over. Childish and very sophomoric. Not presidential. He needs to elevate his game. With alacrity!
