Lets talk about the Supreme Court and how the GOP is basically sitting on their on dildos.
so by all accounts Merrick Garland is basically a moderate republican with pretty middle of the road rulings. But they want the next president to pick the lifetime appointment in a hold out hope its Trump who has a 23% chance of winning and who knows who he would actually pick. While knowing the Clinton has a 70plus chance of winning and also a 54% chance of winning a majority in the senate and full well knowing that her choice maybe the most liberal supreme court pick we have ever seen.
all the while not giving this guy at least a hearing.

    maybe its just me.....

Good point MM. I didn't like the no hearing position as I thought it wrong. They could have voted him down if they didn't like him. I think the president, any president should be given wide latitude in nominations. Twice this wasn't done in recent SC history. Once when LBJ nominated Abe Fortas as Ch Justice and then when Ted Kennedy and the Ds Borked Bork. At least Fortas was already on the Court and continued on. What Kennedy et the Ds did to Bork is unforgivable.
Not holding hearings doesn't seem to be costing the senators but as you say it may bite them on the ass in 2017.

probably not, but we will see. At least Obama tried to replace Scalia with a moderate republican.

Why not with another Scalia? If he wanted his appointment to make it to the bench?
