I'm not too sure why LSU fans would rejoice over this news. Hate him all you want, but the Tubster can flat out coach. Auburn is pretty much an established power, IMO, as they've won consistenly for most of my lifetime. In other words, Tubs would make Arky competitive and AU would still be a solid program, so in effect you just make LSU's road to the Western Div. championship even harder in the process.
Havent seen or heard this rumor in Arkansas yet, would love for it to be true. You never can tell, though. The media up here is either so out of the loop as to be worthless, or solidly in the pocket of coach Nuttsack. As for the money, believe me, the University has it, and more. Heck, Tyson (of chicken fame) has let it be known that he will PERSONALLY pay off Nutts contract if the administration will show some stones and fire the snake-oil salesman.
That's right! You are only as good as your competition. That is the reason our BCS ranking is so low.
What is the deal with Nutt anyway? Why do people think he's a great coach when his teams are perpetually mediocre?
