All Tulane, LSU and Southeastern Louisiana students with a school ID will be admitted free. I wonder how many LSU students will take up that offer???
I think some LSU students will stop by, maybe catch a half of it. It depends on what other games are on TV at the time & what else is going on in BR.
I agree with you that post was petty. This state and nation is reeling from the greatest natural disaster in US history and some people are upset that LSU has extended its long-time rival Tulane an olive branch, or an olive and blue branch in this case, and let the Green Wave play in Tiger Stadium. That's really sad. Despite some media reports, Mother Nature in the form or Hurricane Katrina didn't discriminate, it impacted us all in some form or fashion. So letting Tulane's football team, whose lives have been turned upside down and are without everything, play in Tiger Stadium was the least LSU could do.
just an itch that I couldn't scratch for several years now after tulanes athletic dept. MADE me contribute before I had the right to go see my tigers play in their stadium.Sorry it seems so petty but it was petty to begin with on tulanes part.
It seems a bit of a history lesson is in order. That was a home game for Tulane. Their own fans had to be members of the Tulane Athletic Fund to have priority for the same tickets. Friends of mine that are Tulane fans upped their contribution just to make sure they had priority since so many LSU fans were joining. Every school has a way of deciding priority when more people want tickets than tickets are available. Your contribution was to get tickets alloted to Tulane. Now grow up, pull you thumb out of your mouth, and straighten out your panties. LSU is doing a good thing, and is showing that no matter what, when push comes to shove, the people of the state of Louisiana pull together and support each other. At least most do. You seem to be the exception. :dis:
