I know what you mean. I enjoy beating the Mets so my teams are Atlanta, San Francisco, Dodgers, Reds, Yankees and Astros.

    Speaking of the pain.....

That collision in the Tulane's outfield was scary. It was pretty obvious who got the raw end of that deal. I was glad they both got up.

Same thing happened to me in a state softball tournament in Thibodaux in the mid-70s. When you're giving away 30-40 lbs. and the guy who runs over you is fast.......well, if it hadn't been for a Holidome hot tub and plent of Jack Daniels... Broke 4 of my ribs. Funny thing was, this guy and I played side by side in the outfield for several years before the collision, 40-50 games a year, and never had a close call. Sometimes, sheet happens. I don't remember if we were drinking beer that day.

Maybe you're right. Looks like he's a Nebraska fan too. That's damned sad.

    No problem.

I've been pulling for Tulane as long as I can remember. Tulane has had success against LSU in baseball in recent years and most games have been quite competitive.

I have been a Nebraska fan since around 1990 (did a report on Tom Osbourne). I've always admired Tom Osbourne and is probably the coach I respect more than anyone else. Nebraska has had success against LSU in football. (albeit in the 1980's before I started pulling for the Huskers). I've been to a few Husker games, great fans to tailgate with. If you ever get a chance to attend a Husker game, please do, you will enjoy it.

I ran track and cross country for NSU (and won 5 championship rings with them). So as you can guess, my heart is definitely for the Demons above and way beyond anyone else. I know we had some athletes that competed really well against LSU in track. Our baseball team has notched victories against LSU in recent years, though the Tigers had our number this year. And I do believe for a school of our size and budget we do exceptionally well and have nothing to be ashamed of up here in NAtchitoches.

Ya'll can trust me, I'm not a delusional fan who dreams of winning titles....I've got the rings to prove it.

As a former college athlete I do have respect for the athletes who compete at LSU. I ran (1500, 3000, CC) against many LSU runners over the years 1997-2002, always had fun competing against them.

Nah, sorry. I can't claim to be that handsome. But I will say that our Southland track championship rings look nicer than that. :yelwink2:
