Stupid Tulane? As if he would have remained there any longer than he remained at Clemson as OC. :nope: They would have had a good 1 season under CRR.

I would just like to remind everyone that there are quite a few natives of New Orleans that hate LSU because they have family allegiances to Tulane or some other school. My dad's side of the family is this way. My cousin went to Auburn. :angryfire

There is even a facebook group entitled "People who are from New Orleans and hate LSU"

Why do you feel the need to "remind" us? I was born and raised in NOLA, and I could care less one way or the other about Tulane. They are irrelevant...in terms of college football. And yes...RR probably wouldn't have been there long...but obviously, he was better than what they got...who was there TOO long. Actually, though...RR probably would've been at Tulane for longer than a year or two...and probably would've never wound up at WV. Good for him that it worked out like it did.

The guy who was ashamed for his son to see the drunken LSU fans before the Sugar Bowl needs to open his eyes. For anyone from New Orleans to say something like that and ignore the filth I've seen during a weekday on Bourbon St and the French Quarter during broad daylight is laughable. Maybe they were all those jealous Too Lame posters drinking their misery away because LSU and it's fans own the Super Dome. If it weren't for LSU, Too Lame wouldn't play a meaningful game in the Dome this year. Stop crying and support your team.:thumb:

It's pretty much a joke about the academics, too. Back in the mid 90's, I knew a guy who was on probation @ Tulane every semester, but graduated in 4 years. At LSU, a person couldn't graduate within two semesters of having been on probation.

Also, I read their course catalog. Not only did most of the degress require only around 110 hours, but their three hour courses counted as four hours of credit.

Their big spiel back then was how their students graduated in 4 years. I suppose so--they took a fraction of the classes that LSU students did.

My impression about education is that a person can get (or not get) an education wherever they go. The attitude of the student is most important.

Let me pose this question: Did Baton Rouge used to stink very badly or have I just not noticed it? I read multiple posts there saying how much BR and the people stank, yet New Orleans was and still is the smelliest city I have ever been to. It seems like the posters of these comments were a little bit older and, as a younger guy, I wanted to get this answered. I mean drawing a juxtaposition (if that word is too big for you "stupid" LSU grads, I appologize) between New Orleans and an out house seems much more accurate to me.

NOTE: I am not just saying this in response to the posts I read, but because I honestly think New Orleans has much more of an aromatic problem than BR (No offense to the New Orleans natives on this board)
