haha! my roommate and i were just saying the same thing last night.

i read their board, and i'm not sure what to think. ok. tulane has a football team - yeah well so does southeastern and baton rouge community college (NJCAA!). and yeah, ok, you hate lsu - good for you. when you add those two items together, reality does not change. i'm not sure if any level of hate/loathing/disdain/blah for any team could make me be as unrealistic as some of these tulane people are.

Ever since the city got this new company for their garbage contract the city has been much less smelly. They really do a nice job.

    This is my favorite

"I dont hate those people. It's more like pity. They go through life being in the way and dont even know it. They are 40 point favorites and number two in the nation and they cant sell out their ticket allotment because they are still afraid they will somehow lose to us and they dont want to watch it. LSU is something this state stepped and cant get off of our shoe. I walked down Poydras Street to the Superdome for the Sugar Bowl with my 12 year old grandson in January. He was bug eyed at the number of drunken fools littering the sidewalk. All I could think of to tell him is that this is what he didnt want to grow up to be. Sorriest group of human beings that ever walked the earth. Hope that doesnt offend anyone."

    TALK ABOUT DELUSIONAL!!! LOL

Downtown wasn't really submerged in that salt water cest pool like other parts of the city. So pre-Katrina and post-Katrina smell wasn't really that different. It was noticeable once this new garbage company started. Not sure exactly when that was.

On a less hate-filled ranting note...

I've often wondered what kind of team Tulane would have if they had stayed in the SEC. If they had, they probably would be getting LSU's recruiting leftovers, and probably some good players from MS and ALA. If so, they would probably be a decent team. Leaving the SEC has to rank up there with getting involved in a land war in Asia (movie reference) as one of the dumbest things imaginable.

If Tulane hadn't left the SEC, they'd be Vanderbilt. That's still an improvement over where they are.
