Why is it in an Era of kids being so good out of high school they don't even play college ball that Brady can only get kids to sign that can't even play in the SEC after four years of high school ball...

What kind of a backup plan was Tyrus Thomas? I am not downing this kid...I'm bemoaning the "alleged recruiting skills" of our coach, or rather, our assistant coach who we had to beg to stay to make sure Kentucky didn't get Tasmin...

Since when do basketball players redshirt...Name me just two redshirt freshman players from last year in D-1 who weren't Prop 48'ers or something like that who were all conference...

Kinda strange isn't it? Dale Brown was the best recruiter in the game at one time (and certainly the best recruiter LSU basketball has seen), but couldn't coach worth a darn (face it, with Shaq, Chris Jackson and co., we should have had at LEAST ONE national title in basketball). Now, we have Brady--IMO a BETTER "coach" than Dale Brown (x's and o's...and ability to win with lesser talent than Brown), but not exactly a great recruiter.

My question is: Which type of coach would you rather have? A dominant recruiter that wins on talent alone....or a solid x's and o's coach with decent recruiting skills but displays a talent for "doing more with less"??

The news about Regis is that he was back at practice on Sunday. Everything is said to be fine with Regis and he will be in uniform for tonight's game.

Also, how is going after Spencer Ford a mistake? It would have been a mistake to keep the scholarship on the table, but Brady pulled the offer when he had heard of the problems.

This year we have a relatively deep team so it would be pointless to try and give Thomas any minutes this year. I wouldn't want to waste a year of his eligibility if the guy is only playing 5 minutes a game, if that much.

Wow...Great news...I wonder why his status was up in the air...I'm sure it was just because he didn't have enough time to write Brady the novella he wanted to pen on his Christmas Card this year, right martin?

Again...Why redshirt this kid, when we wasted Neltner last year? What was teh logic of that? That's just it...There is no rhyme or reason. Neltner shoudln't have seen the court last year, either, but we played him.

Hell, he wasted a redshirt year on JueMichael Young by playing him, and after that, he appeared in only one more game...

There is no consistency from this coach shown in any aspect of his tenure here. Recruiting an All-American, then bringing in a mental case. Wowing you with, "the words that come out of you", but driving all sorts of players for his programs because it was a problem with them...

Keep your head in the sand, Ostrich boy...I'll continue to hope that the TF Janitor can find my "Shreds of Credibility"...

    :-(

You know...I read your posts TE and I don't agree with all of them but for some reason I find myself hoping beyond all hope that Brady comes out and gets a Final Four this year. I mean jeez...at least when you did your critiques on the football team there were some things you liked. With the basketball team your view is tainted by this unreal hatred for Brady. There is not a college basketball program in the country that hasn't had similar situations that LSU has had (or had has...insert whatever sounds right).

Seems like that old coach who used to be at Indiana had his share of run-ins with players, coaches, fans, media etc. Turns out he ain't half bad if you get around his "strong" personality. Please, please give it a rest until say...March.

    again, it isnt about me.

notice how when i taunt your stupid predictions (saban is definitely staying), i am talking about your predictions, not you? talk about the opinions, not the person.

i am horribly upset because TE owned me 24/7, but bringing it up only hurts my feelings more, so i wish you would not taunt me and stay on topic.
