Maybe they want to see an interesting matchup between UCLA and LSU, the latter being the defending champs and they are HOT!!!
If it weren't for Cox Sports, only about 1250 people were going to have the opportunity to SEE them play (assuming we meet).
Well from what i am hearing on the radio, the word is out and lots of Los Angeles alumni are going to be there in full force. Maybe it will be like a home game anyway. Make a sign LT. http://www.lsusocal.org/
yeah, give a shout out to tf. :thumb: every time i start grumbling about ucla, how far away it is, no national tv for me to watch, and everything else, greenie reminds me that at least my team made a regional. damnit, i hate it when he is right! :hihi:
I think we had someone from that org posting here last football season. He was a photographer, I think. Took pictures of the Colliseum before the Rose Bowl.
very disrespected! well, look at our record. while we hit a skid there at the end, our overall record is not that bad actually. the SEC record is just a tad bit worse than usual (.500 has to be considered "good" in the SEC and we were two games below.) i understand the logistics of why we're being sent to los angeles, but i just don't think that LSU should have to be sent that far. they'd never send teams like Texas, ASU , Miami, etc that far away. as much as i think we got screwed, what about Florida State?! a one-seed going to connecticut?! that's disrespect for a team making its 33rd consecutive regional, IMO. thing is that the committee is striving to help teams that are on the "upswing" and trying to make the field more balanced. you see that with teams like coastal carolina getting so much love. you have got to be kidding me! they haven't really played anyone other than UCI. i have no idea in hell how their RPI is so damn high really. it's a friggin joke. EDIT - they're SoS is 113 for beginning of the season according to Boyd. their season-to-date SoS is 5th which is a flipping joke.

From espn LSU is on the road for a regional for the first time since 1989 (when the Tigers beat a 58-5 Texas A&M team in College Station to advance to Omaha). This year's squad is on the road largely due to its lack of success on the road during conference play -- the Tigers are 4-12 in true road games, but just swept through the SEC tournament. After being dealt the toughest hand last season as a national seed, UC Irvine has the chance to play spoiler this season. The Eaters are in the top 20 in the nation with a 3.79 ERA; their small-ball repertoire is well suited to Jackie Robinson Stadium.
