    OOH! OOH! OOH! Mr. Kotter, I'm so confused. Will I get kicked out of school if I beat the crap out of SECChamps2003?

    Two reasons...

    1. Georgia has the better overall defense.
    (overall faster and with a deeper secondary)

    2. Georgia has a better kicking game.

    Billy Bennett is reliable up to 45 yards out.

    The new UGA punter made the SEC special teams list this week.

    While both teams have a great deal of offensive firepower, I have to give the edge to the stronger defense.

    And is Georgia a contender for a NC? Yes, but more likely in 2004. 20 starters will return in 2004.

    So do I, but let's look at the Official NCAA team rankings:

    http://web1.ncaa.org/d1mfb/Internet/ranking_summary/DIVISION1.HTML

    TOTAL DEFENSE
    LSU = #2
    Georgia = #15

    TOTAL OFFENSE
    LSU = #15
    Georgia = #39

    Well, first of all, Mark Richt avoids adding extra points.

    Georgia's running game has not been put on full throttle yet.

    The Georgia first string defense has not given up a TD yet this year.

    The LSU offense will score, but nothing is going to come as easy as it has been coming against the likes of Arizona, WIU or LA-M.

    And if it comes to matching field goals, I'll take Billy Bennett any day!

    I'll say it again....
    LSU has a good chance to win if they can score over 24 point on the Georgia defense.

    Give me a break. Do you think LSU couldn't have put up 100 against 'Zona. Real nice of Richt to "stop" at 29 vs. MTSU.

    Do the runners fall down once into the secondary? Do they run at half speed?

    Didn't do the research but if LSU's 1st team defense has given up more than one I'd be surprised.

    So you could have added more points against Arizona, because you had the time to.

    Do you really thing that the Georgia offense will not be able to impact, "time of possession?"

    I was at the MTSU game. Richt has never been concerned about running up the score on anyone. It is just not his style.

    Richt has rotated various running backs up until now.

    If Michael Cooper plays during more than 30% of the game, look for 100+ yards from him this week. And look for quite a few yards from swing passes to Cooper and Lumpkin.

    Cooper and Clayton will be the two best athletes on the field.
    You be the judge of which one performs better!

    Saban himself has said the the LSU defense lacks the,
    "Aggressiveness," that he has expected from the unit.

    It will be interesting to see how they do when they get a little tired and pressured from being on the field longer this coming Saturday.

    The LSU defense finished last season ranked #8 over Georgia's #15. This year LSU is ranked #2 to Georgia's #15. If you think that the LSU defense is somehow worse than Georgia, you are in some serious denial.

    ???

    Well of course. Any offense impacts time of possesion but not always positively.

    It is not Saban's style either. And I'll agree. A 29 spot on MTSU leaves little room for concern about running up the score.

    Addai, Carey, Broussard, Vincent. Your point?

    So, if he plays the whole game he gets 300 yards? I'd leave him in there.

    Coachspeak!

    I really don't have a problem with any of your posts here, and I don't have a problem with you sticking up for your team...but...you seem to imply that the world has yet to experience what the mighty dawgs will bring to the table this week. To use a New York expression: We ain't exactly chopped liver.
