I get hungry just looking @ that list. The best seafood restaurants are located around the Lake. You can't go wrong in that neighborhood if you want some good seafood. Another good seafood restaurant is called Louisiana Seafood Exchange. They give you enough shrimp on a sandwich to make 2. That place is located on Jefferson Hwy, near the Jefferson-New Orleans border.

    OLD THREAD.

On my way to work I noticed that the old Joe's Crab Shack at the lake front location in New Orleans is now going to be a Landry's Seafood House. They have been working on it for some time but they just put the sign's up because they are looking for employees. Landry's recently sold their Joe's Crab Shack restaurants so I believe it is great that they are willing to keep their more high end restaurant in the city instead of letting the new owner of Joe's take it over. Landry's Restaurants Inc. also owns the Rainforest Cafe and Saltgrass Steak House among other restaurants. They are currently trying to buy Smith & Wollensky.

jeez, i didn't notice the date at first and was thoroughly confused considering that sid-mars and brunings are totally gone now. and those were on my top five list every time i was there. brunings had the best sauteed soft shell crab.

man, it hurts not having some of those places any more.:bncry:

That is funny. I have been going to Middendorf's since I was kid. I always thought it was located in Manchac. Why list it as located in Abita Springs? Very weird.

In fact, I don't even call it Middendorf's. I call it Manchac.

GW Fins is still top notch. A little expensive, but the food is always outstanding.
