i've struggled with posting this because i know i'll be blasted and maybe he's grown some since his campbellsville university days, but it seemed (according to well placed off the record university sources) that mr ford had a keen interest in making sure the coeds experienced all that college had to offer. campbellsville university was not sorry to see ford go to eastern kentucky.
CBS reporter on 1210 said that odds on it's Ford, that we're obviously waiting on someone's season to end, and that Grant wouldn't go through a process where he was on a list of canidates and go through an interview process.
Dan Parker, head of the search committee, said the rumor is not true and that no one has been interviewed. ESPN may have pulled another boner.
Wasn't going to say anything about you last sentence, but if you read his profile he has coached in the NCAA's while he was at EKU and now is one game from being the NIT Champs. His style of play is something that will put fans in the stands. At Umass his team avgs 81 pts per game. I think this would be a great hire because he is not going to cost as much as grant, and has done more with less that grant. Plus, the only team i could see him leaving a big program like LSU for is UK, (where he probably should be already)
Not just ESPN if it isn't true but all the news stations in Louisville and Lexington KY are reporting the same thing. Granted the guy who broke the story on espn Forde is from louisville. But, being an UK Alum any news on him is going to be reported there regardless of who first leaked it.
