What we did last season should have no bearing at all on how we are ranked this season. It's a whole new war with different battles and different players. How may teams have repeated in the last 20 years? We have a bunch of unproven players and so do other teams. If the year before is a true indiccation of how good a team should be then we should not have won the championship last season. any team ranked in the top ten is being given tremendous props IMO.
Top 5 is a dream come true to this Tiger fan. Most teams that win the national title do not start the next year as #1. Look at TOSU last year. It's hard to defend the title from any ranking. Let not your heart be troubled. This LSU team will be just fine, even if they don't win the MNC. Enjoy the ride. Thorny
