1. BRPD screwed the pooch nice and good with this one. There is enough coming out about the credibility of the "victim" and his testimony that this should get thrown out.

The damage has already been done in the court of public opinion, however. And that is on BRPD.

  2. This is what sticks out to me. I've made many a trip to the ER for a variety of issues. I've been to them in the big city and places as small as Mayberry and this much I can assure you; I've NEVER been in and out in 2 hours.
  3. JJ wearing black pants and white shirt inside bar. Outside bar, the guy who kicked the kid was in all black. That alone is suspicious enough. Add to that, the "victems" say 10-15 players pulled the kid out of the truck. The video clearly shows one white kid pulling one person out of the truck. Too much does not add up with this. BRPD screwed the pooch for sure on this one, not only with over investgiating, but also with providing too much information to the media, which caused JJ to be prejudged in this. For JJ's sake, I hope his attorney can get this cleared up quickly.

  4. Well you are privy to more information than the general public if your statement that this is posturing is true. I'm not happy LSU players were anywhere near a bar brawl. Gives the program a black eye. For example, if one hears about Miami players in a brawl, you think "thugs" not "well were there mitigating circumstances?" Terrible publicity.

That said, details like 49 pairs of shoes being made public are inexcusable. And if JJ really didnt do anything, then its a damn shame for him and a different kind of shame for the police.

He's innocent until proven guilty and I'm not ready to write this off to posturing.
  5. Not looking good for BRPD at this point. I agree with JJ's attorney that JJ shouldnt get any special treatment because he's a football player. Absolutely not. However, hints are emerging that the BRPD went too far in the other direction in trying to show they werent giving special treatment to JJ and came down harder on him than they would have Joe Q. Student.
  6. I have talked to a bunch of attorneys about this and they all said it was posturing. Posturing doesn't mean they are innocent or guilty but just an act by his attorney to level the playing field given the BRPD spewing all kinds of one-sided favoring the alleged victims in the media. Now the BRPD are being silent like they should have been all along and that opens the door for his new attorney to refute those claims.
  7. I agree, we already knew Lowery was a douche, but this does absolutely nothing to clear JJ of a fight outside. How does a lawyer with half a brain think that proves JJ's innocence?
  8. It's a part of the whole picture. If this goes to trial, the jury is given information a little bit at a time. The DA wants them to think the confrontation began inside the bar to explain what happened outside. This video refutes that. On the other hand, Unglesby can point to JJ's seeming ambivalence to the interaction between Lowery and the girl as evidence that he wasn't even concerned about it. Also, there's the white shirt/black clothing discrepancy. Piece by piece, things don't make sense and the jury has reasonable doubt.
