I don't know. Maybe I'm just too old school (or maybe just too old :shock but I think those unis are hideous. I don't like the white helmets; I don't like messing with the traditional stripes; I hate and despise the white pants (but must admit that the new eye of the Tiger patch is nice: http://www.lsusports.net/PhotoAlbum...LBID=13442&DB_OEM_ID=5200&PAGE_ID=&ZID=775064 ) Well, at least it's for a good cause. BTW, does anybody know how much Nike is f'ing with Tulane's uniforms for this game? I wasn't able to find a pic on the Tulane website. :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige
Two questions and a comment: 1. Will we still have Katrina/Pelican patches commemorative stuff in the year 2100 or is there an end to it at some point? 2. Why is the pelican wearing a blond wig and a tiara? Is it a tranny pelican or something? The uniforms look like Alcorn St. If we have to wear those ridiculous uniforms then I hope they make Tulane look foolish too.
Not this again! Shades of Gerry Dinardo. No stripes on the jerseys! White pants that llok like leotards? White hats? Gawd. I will NOT support Nike for interfering with out traditional look no matter what cause they offer. Les deserves the bad public response for agreeing to this. I'm emailing Skip right now. OUR COLORS ARE NOT PURPLE AND WHITE!
Remember what happened with the horrible, horrible DiNardo, purple pants fiasco? We got Melvin Hill and we lost 17-14 to Kentucky.
Only 1 dollar of each jersey sale goes to charity??? They may loook "OK" when worn by an actual player. The eye of the tiger patch is neat to see. Otherwise this idea is a complete joke. Correction, this is a lousy idea and is a complete joke.
That should convince him to change his mind. :hihi: Yeah, but at least they picked the Tulane game to do this at. Hell, me and my buddies could field a team and beat Tulane. The only bad karma this could bring is an inj.... Nah, I'm not even going to type it.
It may convince him not to let it happen again. This is as bad as the black LSU baseball jerseys and almost as bad as the purple pants fiasco, bith of which are history. Believe me, the Athletic Department tracks comments from season ticket hlders and TAF members and they pay attention. Herb Vincent actually returns my emails.
