Second worse. Dinardos experiment with gold helmet, white jersey, and purple pants. The hideous pants had no stripe or anything, they looked like friggin' leotards. He never tried that again.
it didn't help that we lost to kentucky in that game either. but i actually like the white helmet/gold jersey combo as in the indy bowl vs ND. but only rarely used.
Man I'd forgotten all about those... Dinardo didn't have very good taste in uniforms(or players I guess - Cecil the peeping tom collins and larry purse snatcher foster)
Good list, I would have Georgia 2nd though. I also like Ole Miss's uni's even though they can't play football.
For the occasional change i would like a puple satin type pant with a white patch down the side with a white jersey and gold letters with the usual LSU helmet.
i prefer penn st and bama over new unis like miami and oregon or the new nike arm stripes ones. byu and pitt a few years ago tried to jazz up their unis and logos and it was terrible. i think both madethe right decision by going back to a simpler old school formula. i'd hate it if penn st or bama changed their unis.
I dont know why, but I cant stand when UT wears the white jersey with white pants- it looks off. Not even being biast- LSU has the coolest uniforms, helmets and helmet logo. I may get burned for this...I've also always liked ND's gold helmets. The tradition behind them is cool.
ND does have some nice uni's and helmet. Just bc you like the uni, doesn't mean you have to like the team or the fans. See my post about Ole Piss or several other post about Bama's.
