Fulmer has a lot of brass to shake down a witness in a criminal investigation involving one of his players. It is a crime in most states to intimidate a potential witness in any criminal or civil case. Apparently not in Tennessee if the intent of the witness intimidation is to protect the Tennessee football program. The fact that the DA immediately took this over and buried it, as well as Fulmer's shakedown of a witness to discredit the complaining party, looks almost like organized crime behavior. Except here, the mob is a state university. UT obviously has no shame where its football program is concerned. The university's response to the Bensel-Myers complaints about academic cheating/fraud proved that beyond doubt. However, thisis taking it a few steps beyond that.
Fulmer said he was trying to uncover the truth about the incident, not influence a possible witness or impede the investigation. Detective Fulmer!
Shouldn't the NCAA also investigate why UT's cornerback was listed at 6 ft, but the police measured him at 5'10"! Are they taking some kind of size reducing, performance enhancing substance?! Or are they just lying some more....
