1. Re: DC Watch: John Chavis

more than likely he wasnt questioned on it since everything was all roses after the NC game. he didnt have to push and they didnt have a need to question.
  2. Re: DC Watch: John Chavis

I wish some reporter would get off their butt and try to interview the bigshots and write a story about how it all went down. I think it would be interesting to know.
  3. Re: DC Watch: John Chavis

That's the 2nd most likely scenario.

Hell, we were all giddy on here last season and the prevailing phrase was "In Miles we trust", ad nauseum.
  4. Re: DC Watch: John Chavis

I doubt it. Bertman has won 5 national championships. You think he's intimidated by a guy who just won one? Think of all the egos that make up our Board of Directors, administration, Athletic Department, TAF, etc. All those guys know they are big shots--bigger than some jock football coach they hired to coach the kids.

    Mommy! Nice sig Tirk
  6. Re: DC Watch: John Chavis

yes and we shouldnt turn our back on him so soon. this mistake can be corrected. im more worried about not playing the better player and the lack of discipline.

we were saying during the r-kansas game that this team may be more undisciplined than the '04 hurricanes team.

im pretty sure miles wouldnt question bertman's handling of his NC pitching staffs. same thing.

I say theres no need to question the most successful coach in the country right after he brought you only the 3rd nc in school history for football.

    not til he fails.
  7. Re: DC Watch: John Chavis

Right, if Miles was AD, he wouldn't be questioning Bertman's handing of his pitching staff, just like I doubt anyone interferes with Miles doing his job of coaching the kids. But for a major decision like who are new $400,000-a-year adult DC is going to be... that's very different.
  8. Re: DC Watch: John Chavis

possibly but ill disagree during a honeymoon. the 400k is irrelevant after a national title.

the only thing that matters is the results. and now that the results sucked, the board has leverage to voice their concern as does skip.
  9. Re: DC Watch: John Chavis

how loyal is les? he really, really likes this guy.

he submitted lee for all-sec. link

its not like coaches were throwing all of their players out there.
