For the reasons that I liked O for HC (Quality person who WANTED the job), I also wanted Brennan as QB. Our starting current starting QB and likely starter next year is a pro style QB who can run when needed. Brennan seemed like the ideal QB to continue this style and I'd hate to have a less than stellar dual threat QB or a 5* true freshman starting next year. Sure hope that O knows what's he's doing.
1st and foremost the ability to throw the ball with accuracy from the pocket, and also can go through progressions. Look this kid may be good but pardon me if I'm not excited about another tailback with a strong arm. Been there done that, the t shirt sucks.
Some, what jumps out to me is he is powerful and can cut, he has a strong arm and I never saw him look off his first option.
So Kiffin wanted him, USC, ucla, Oregon, and a long list of others wanted him but you aren't excited. That's certainly your prerogative but damn....I'd like to see your top 3 selections at the moment.
Dude is not a run first QB, which is why most like him. From all accounts he is an excellent passer that happens to be agile. I am sad Verne is retiring. Id love for him to call Tua's games.
Watch his film. If his first option is open he is taking off. Anyone with arm strength can throw a slant or a post, or a fly. Here I'll save you some time.
