I'm planning a pilgrimage to take my oldest Son, who's never been to a college football game, to the Bama game on Nov 6. Trying to work out the details of the trip (we're in Virginia) and I can only afford the upper tickets ($260 a piece!).

Would you guys recommend west or east side? West side, we're on the home side, with the band, students, and team, but East side, we'd be facing the band and students?

The band is in the north endzone now. Not much different east from west. Probably would be cooler to be on the east side so you could watch the LSU sideline. I know it would be form far away but I'd rather not see the other teams sideline.

Depending on night or after-noon game. If after-noon West for sure (that sun is a biotch in the East). Otherwise they are about the same.

I would take the West side since a 3pm start could happen!! I have been on the upper
East side for a 3pm start once , never again.

Good luck and I am sure ya'll will have a blast

That's easy, take the West side. This game will undoubtedly be the CBS afternoon game & as someone who has season tickets in the lower bowl on the East side, I can attest that the sun SUCKS when it beats your face for three quarters straight.

I like the east side better....but they are right about the sun.

Swerved It appears my hypocrisy knows no bounds.

Take the west.. Afternoon games are brutal to folks on the East side.

My seats are in the Upper West - now that the band has moved to the north end-zone those of us that sit on the West Side have it all - band, great view of the Tigers on the sideline and no sun.
