He found out when he went into the locker room after the game, that he had players who wanted to win. He had players that knew they should have won this game. He was touched by this because he felt some didn't care. Urban got to see what passion was all about. It's not the fans screaming in the stands. It's not the armchair QB's at home in front of their TVs or computers. It's not the alumni or the school officials. He knows he has asked them to learn a knew offense and they are struggling with it. His first teams at Bowling Green and Utah struggled in their first years as well. But this team wants to win NOW. I'm glad that Meyer is our coach. Say what you think about his offense, but it isn't running full speed because the players can't run it full speed right now.
This isn't how Spurrier coached teams from Florida made other teams feel. The Alabama game, earlier this year, made us feel how those Spurrier coached teams made other teams feel. When SOS was coaching the Gators you beat him once. Didn't blow him out either. Most of the time he made your DB's look pathetic. You can be pissed off forever for all I care. Maybe your mad at the Gators because the year LSU beat OU in the Sugar bowl, your team lost to UF in Baton Rouge. An undefeated season and a victory over OU would have probably mean't no talk about a split with USC for the NC.
What game did you watch.....LSU dominated every aspect of the game!!! The players just need to be glad the score wasn't Bama like, it would have been if not for the 5 turnovers.
Yes, but we brought him down from the #1 ranking with FAR less talent and an awful coach. Pretty sweet, if you ask me. Didn't need any help. We were extremely thin on talent during that era. It's not like you made Webster, Daniels (either one), Landry or Prude look pathetic. Congratulations. No one is still pissed at stuff that happened two coaches ago. You, however, seem to be slightly peeved. So your logic is that since we're making fun of your coach/players for crying, we must be pissed at something that happened in the past? Nice. I'm pretty confident that you (or any other school) would be doing the exact same thing if it were our coach/players. In fact, UF is in pretty good standing with me right now. Not many teams will let you play so slopily and still refuse to win the game. And I'm also happy that your offense couldn't take the ball further than 41 yards on us. Thanks!
I'm not pissed. I wasn't expecting SECC in the first year. No Meyer team won their conference title in the first year. With any kind of offense we would have won this game. That has alot to do with LSU's defense. I'm not living in the past SOS years but when your rivals do and they hold grudges for something that is in the past and they blast your current team for that, you can respond and bring up the past.
